Laia Foundation / Vedanthangal Sangam has sponsored efficient stoves for 741 anganwadis (nursery schools) in order to reduce indoor air pollution and energy dependence of the centers. It benefited about 13,000 children.

- Reduction in absenteeism and dropout due to diseases caused by indoor air pollution
- Tastier food and better nutrition for children

The life of the stove is 5 years. In 5 years, these 741 centers will save about 1800 euros and will have ceased to emit 5,187 tons of CO2.
