On Saturday, 26 July 2014, Laia Foundation held an event to recognize the achievements of our former students who completed college or vocational training during the year 2013-14.

Also, we issued mementos to 27 students who passed the SSLC exam, a stage of great importance for their future career. We also recognized the outstanding work of our ‘after-school support’ teachers for having performed exceptionally well and bringing about significant improvement in the learning levels of children in the past academic year.

We would like to thank our guests, volunteers and collaborators, such as Mr.Janarthanam of Service Civil International and Dr. Julius Karunakaran, Laia Foundation’s Consultant for their encouraging presence at the event.

A group of traditional percussion, formed by students and the teacher of our after-school support centre at Thandaraipettai, performed during the event and made a sensational impression on the audience.
