Today we've distributed food among the inhabitants of ThandaraiPettai which has suffered severe floods after the latest rains. We've also used our tuition centre (where several families live) as a temporary dining room.

ThandaraiPettai , where Laia Foundation has been working since 2008, has 600 inhabitants.

Tamil Nadu has come to a standstill due to the severe floods, especially in the metropolitan area of Chennai (Madras). While some areas remain flooded, more than a million people have been evacuated and between 350 and 450 have lost their lives.
